Lions DL Demetrius Taylor expected to make debut vs. Patriots while moving outside

Detroit Lions undrafted rookie defensive lineman Demetrius Taylor is expected to make his NFL debut against the New England Patriots in Week 5.

While Taylor fought his way onto the roster from the interior, it sounds like he’ll get his first taste of action from the outside.

Taylor told reporters in the locker room that he found out he was playing via Twitter after head coach Dan Campbell’s weekly radio spot on 97.1 The Ticket.

Campbell told the radio station, “we’re going to give Meech (Taylor) a go this week. We’ll see if he can kinda help us out there a little bit.”

Taylor has been a healthy scratch for all four games this season.

“Honestly, just looking at what guys were doing against like other teams. Seeing how I can help my game and stuff like that when I get the opportunity, so now, they got me in a different role. I been playing like big end.
